WHO CARRIES WHOM
A piece created by Albert Garrell for the students of Institute of the Arts, Sitges, Barcelona, 2026.
Who Carries Whom is a contemporary dance piece that investigates weight as an invisible yet deeply embodied force, moving between the physical, emotional, and social. Through a choreography of collapse and suspension, density and lightness, the dancers navigate unstable states where gravity seems to shift and relocate within the body. Weight is explored not only as a physical condition but as an internal sensation.
The work expands into collective and perceptual dimensions, questioning how weight is distributed, shared, or imposed between bodies.
Who Carries Whom asks whether weight is something we own or something placed upon us.

Between blurred lines, heavy thoughts, and shifting emotions, the body expresses what the mind confuses.
This contemporary dance piece delves into the inner landscapes of cognitive distortion, where reality is filtered through altered perceptions and heightened emotions. Through movement, it reveals the multiple states we navigate as human beings: fragility, resistance, denial, acceptance, struggle, and transformation.
The performers embody the inner tensions that often disconnect us from the present, exploring how we face mental and emotional disorder. The body becomes a channel through which anxiety, contradiction, and vulnerability find space—yet also a place where awareness, presence, and attentive listening open up possible ways forward.
This is not a piece that seeks to provide answers, but one that makes visible the subtle layers of thought and feeling. A journey that oscillates between chaos and clarity, between disorientation and the light that emerges when we dare to look within.

CHROMA
A full length production by LAB3.14
2017 - 2019, Barcelona
What resilient resources do we have? How do we deal with adverse situations around us? Can we overcome the fear generated by uncertain situations? Answering these questions often confronts us with our honesty and the degree of humility that allows us to recognize that we have been imprisoned, what our rigidities are and if we are ready to break with the belief of what we are to truly become who we are. CHROMA refers to the ability we all have to add color and change a situation we have experienced or are experiencing.
